Curriculum workshops

Mighty maths

Children incorporate maths into much of their curriculum exploration. As teachers we can help them to construct, develop and apply concepts that will contribute to their learning journey.

During the workshop we will explore practical exercises that allow you to work from your own current practice. You will recognise your own skills and find ways to increase the effectiveness of your teaching dialogue and interactions. Be prepared for lots of interactive exploration and fun.

The magic of music

Over the years I've heard so many teachers say that they can't sing and are not musical. That's not an excuse for avoiding music and hiding behind recorded music.

By learning to have fun with music you'll find that the children will enjoy music even more. This workshop will offer you ideas, strategies and basic concepts that will turn around the music in your programme. You'll also find that music magically includes most of the core curriculum concepts.

We can even help you to learn basic guitar chords. Even more magic can happen as you create composers of the children in your centre  and you don't need to be able to read music!

Loving literacy
There are many fun and creative ways for children to become competent with the concepts of literacy. In this workshop we look at a variety of ways to bring literacy alive and make learning an amazing adventure.
Earth, wind, fire and water
Bring science alive with this exciting workshop. We'll explore your own science programme and enrich your programme by thinking in new ways about the natural world. Prepare to be impressed with your own and the children's ability as scientists.
